ERIE COUNTY SHERIFF’S PATROL LOG FOR NEWSTEAD AND AKRON FOR THE WEEK OF 08/01/21 TO 08/07/21

08/01/21
Deputies responded to Main St for a report of a hit and run accident. A suspect struck another vehicle
and fled the scene. The vehicle was located a short time later by patrol. The driver failed multiple
roadside sobriety tests and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. No injuries were reported as
a result of the accident.
Police assisted with a harassment complaint on Morgan St.
First Aid responded to Dogwood St for female with a back injury.
The Fire Department responded to Rapids Rd for a report of smoke coming from a basement.
A burglar alarm was activated on Dye Rd. It was set off in error.

First Aid responded to Dover Downs St for a female with chest pains.
08/03/21
First Aid responded to Westgate Ave for a lift assist.
Police responded to Skyline Dr for a noise complaint. The complaint was unfounded.
Police assisted with a custody dispute on Skyline Dr.
Patrol responded to Saratoga La for a report of a disorderly person in the area. The subject was
located and left the area.

A burglar alarm was activated on Main Rd. It was a false alarm.
First Aid responded to Stage Rd.
Patrol responded to Main Rd for a report of pumps being vandalized. The matter is under
investigation.

The Fire Department responded to Bloomingdale Ave for a fire alarm activation.
Patrol assisted with a harassment complaint on Cummings Rd.
A burglar alarm was activated on Main Rd. It was a false alarm.

A two car motor vehicle accident was reported on Parkview Dr. No injuries were reported.
A burglar alarm was activated on Havens Rd. It was a false alarm.
