AKRON POLICE BEAT JUNE 21 thru JULY 4, 2021

06/21 – A fire alarm was reported at a Main Street business, it was caused by
burnt popcorn.
An alarm was reported on Jackson Street, everything appeared secure.
An alarm was reported on Skyline Drive, everything appeared secure.
06/22 – Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Bloomingdale Road.
06/23 – A fire was reported at a Main Road business, it was extinguished with
only minor damage reported.
Patrol responded to a Cedar Street residence for a first-aid call.
06/24 – Patrol assisted a Brooklyn Street resident that was locked out of their
residence.
06/25 – Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Brooklyn Street.
Patrol checked on the welfare of a person on Jackson Street, everything
was okay.
A suspicious incident was investigated on Crittenden Road, no problems
were found.

Patrol assisted the state police with a domestic situation on Stage Road.
06/26 – A suspicious incident was reported on Main Street, the information was
logged.
Patrol responded to a Birchwood lane residence for a first-aid call.
06/27 – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Marshall Avenue, everything
checked okay.
A fire alarm was reported on Franklin Street, it was caused by burnt food.
Disorderly persons were reported in Akron Falls Park, it was unfounded.
A disturbance was reported on Jackson Street, all parties were separated
and advised.
A dispute over the property line was reported on Cummings Road, the
issued was resolved.
An alarm was reported on Main Street, everything appeared secure.
06/28 – A 911 hang up call was investigated at a Main Street business, it was
accidental by an employee.
Disorderly persons were reported in Akron Falls Park, they were advised
and ejected.
A landlord/tenant dispute was reported on John Street, they were
advised.

Traffic enforcement was conducted on Cedar Street, one violator was
issued a summons.
A person was locked out of their vehicle on Parkview Drive, patrol opened
the vehicle.
06/29 – An oven fire was reported on Skyline Drive, the fire Dept. was notified.
06/30 – A property damage accident was reported on Hake Road, two cars were
involved. Both had to be towed.
A 911 hang up call was investigated at a Main Street business, it was
accidental.
07/01 – Loose dogs were reported on Cedar Street, they were reunited with their
owner.
Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Westgate Avenue.
A Westgate Avenue resident reported a suspicious incident that had
occurred the previous day. No problems were found and they were
advised.
07/02 – Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Shepard Avenue.
A suspicious vehicle was reported on John Street, no issues were found.
A raccoon was reported on Franklin Street, it was gone when patrol
arrived.

An alarm was reported on Brodies Way, everything appeared secure.
A fire alarm was reported on Bloomingdale Road, it was caused by a
malfunctioning sensor.
A West Seneca woman was charged with driving an unregistered,
uninspected and uninsured car, when she was stopped on Bloomingdale
Road. She was released on appearance tickets and the car was towed.
Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Maple Road.
07/03 – A fire alarm was reported on Bloomingdale Road, it was a malfunction.
Patrol responded to a Main Street business for was first-aid call.
Patrol assisted a disabled motorist on Main Road.
07/04 – Patrol responded to a Mechanic Street residence on a first-aid call.
Patrol investigated several fireworks complaints, everyone was advised.
