AKRON POLICE BEAT 4/26-5/9

04/26 – A case of fraud was reported on Flint Avenue, the investigation is
pending.
A 911 hang up call was investigated at a Main Street business, it was
accidental.
Patrol assisted the sheriff’s office with a DWI arrest on Main Road.
04/27 – Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Brodies Way.
04/28 – A disturbance was reported on Main Street, it was unfounded.
Fraud was reported by a Mechanic Street resident, a report was taken.
Patrol responded to Brodies Way for a first-aid call.
Traffic enforcement was conducted in the school zone on Bloomingdale
Road.
04/30 – An alarm was reported on Indianola Avenue, an open door was found.
The building was checked with the keyholder and everything was in order.
Erratic operation was reported on Buell Street, the car could not be
located.

A suspicious vehicle was reported in Akron Falls Park, everything checked
okay.
05/01 – Illegal parking was reported on Skyline Drive, the vehicles were moved.
Traffic enforcement was conducted on Jackson Street, no violations were
reported.
Found property was reported on Cedar Street, a wallet was turned over
to patrol. The owner was located and property returned.
Illegal parking was reported on Main Street, one car was tagged.
Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Cedar Street.
05/03 – An unknown trouble was reported on Main Street, all was calm when
patrol arrived.
A fire alarm was reported on Bloomingdale Road, it was a false alarm.
A disturbance was reported on Main Street, one subject was taken to the
hospital for evaluation.
05/04 – Traffic enforcement was conducted on Bloomingdale Road, no violations
were reported.
Patrol assisted a motorist on Skyline Drive, directions were given.
Illegal parking was reported on Mechanic Street, the cars were moved.
A suspicious incident was reported on Marshall Avenue, no problems were found.
Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Scotland Road.
05/05 – A suspicious incident was reported on Shepard Avenue, no problems were
found.
05/06 – A panic alarm was reported on John Street, it was accidental.
05/07 – Patrol responded to a Mechanic Street residence, on a first-aid call.
A hit/run property damage accident was reported on Main Street, a
building was struck. Minor damage was reported.
Patrol responded to a first-aid call at a Cedar Street business.
Disorderly youths were reported on Eckerson Avenue, one was caught
and turned over to their parents.
05/08 – A Carney Road resident reported losing their driver’s license, they were
advised and issued a DMV form.
Patrol responded to a Westgate Avenue residence for a first-aid call.
05/09 – ID theft was reported on Buell Street, a report was taken.
A neighbor dispute was reported on Mechanic Street, they were advised.
Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Churchill Street.
