…LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM FRIDAY TO 10 PM
EST SATURDAY…

  • WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
    of 9 to 16 inche    s in the most persistent lake snows. Winds
    gusting as high as 40 mph will result in considerable blowing
    and drifting snow.
  • WHERE…Erie, Genesee, and Wyoming counties.
  • WHEN…From 4 PM Friday to 10 PM EST Saturday.
  • IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of
    blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
    hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be
prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
  Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
