Patricia J. Ground

Patricia J. Ground, passed away on January 26, 2021. She was born in Basom, NY on December 26, 1943 to the late Paddy and Violette (Sundown) Ground.

Patricia was a proud member of the Wolf clan and a member of the Salt Creek Women’s Singing Society. She worked for many years at the Adesa Auto auction. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and playing softball. She especially loved spending time with family and friends.

Linda L. Sackett

Linda L. Sackett, 60 of Akron, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday (January 25, 2021) at Buffalo General Hospital.

She was born August 19, 1960, in Batavia, NY, a daughter of the late Russell and Wilma Aldridge Sackett. Linda was formerly employed by Batavia Downs Racing and loved horses. She enjoyed playing bingo and sightseeing.

Survivors include her companion, Jeffrey Picinich of Akron. Sister, Patricia Sackett. Niece, Ryan Swift. Nephew, Ray Fisher and great-nephews, Kyle Swift and Cooper Fisher.

Services will be held privately for the family.

Ronald F. Marble

Ronald Francis Marble went to Heaven with the Angels on January 25, 2021 from COVID-19 complications.  He was born at home in the town of Pembroke NY on April 7, 1945 to the late Darwin and Florence Marble.  Ron and Beverly{Phillips} were married in 1976 and the very proud parents of Jason and Justin.  Ron started his working career at Ritz Craft Homes in Batavia, AMAX in Akron and then for many years as a gas and oil furnace/Air repairman for Akron Oil and Finally NOCO Energy Corp.

Marguerite “Toot” Landow

Marguerite (TOOT) Landow nee Burkhardt, passed away on January 23, 2021. She is the beloved wife of Charles R. Landow and the late Edward Stover.

She was born in Clarence Center, New York on March 16, 1949 to the late Irving and Alice (Merrell) Burkhardt.

Marguerite is survived by daughters, Shannon (Eric) McDougall and Jennifer Landow; grandchildren, Justin (Sarah) Miller, Sean Howard, Kayci Landow and one great grandchild, Austin Miller. She is also survived by two brothers, Phillip (late Elaine) Burkhardt, James (Teresa) Burkhardt, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers, Irving Burkhardt Jr., Donald (late Barbara) Burkhardt, and John (late Penny) Burkhardt.

Toot was a 1967 graduate of Clarence High School. She worked as a buyer for Bernz O Matic for many years. Her family was always her number one focus and love.

Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC where a funeral service for family will take place on Saturday, January 30, at 10 am.
