ECFRW BACKS FRESH FACE IN NEWSTEAD FOR TOWN COUNCIL RACE

Akron, NY— Newstead Town Council candidate Patricia Pope has received the official Erie County Federation of Republican Women endorsement. Since its establishment in 2012 they have encouraged and supported the candidacy of Republican women for public office.

“This is a great honor,” said Pope. “It’s important that women are supported in their local political endeavors. Although she is no longer on the Town Council Jeannine has remained a pillar of strength for local conservatives. I am committed to the Akron-Newstead community and I will continue her tradition of putting our taxpayers first.”
“We were very impressed with her qualifications as an attorney and what she will bring to the Town Council,” said Kim Bowers, president of the ECFRW as well as the New York State Federation of Republican Women. “She will bring a fresh perspective, a renewed energy, and innovative ideas that will help keep Newstead on the right track. We know that she is
dedicated to making the Akron-Newstead community a better place to live, work, and raise a family. The members of the ECFRW are proud to support individuals who are committed to putting forth smart policies that will help communities grow and prosper for years to come.”
