Highest heat index values will be inland from the Lake Erie and Lake Ontario shores. * WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Northern Cayuga, Oswego, Northern Erie, Genesee, Livingston, and Ontario counties. * WHEN...From 1 PM Tuesday to 8 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur. Warm overnight low temperatures will make it difficult to cool buildings without air conditioning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
