AKRON POLICE BEAT
MARCH 11, THRU MARCH 17, 2019

03/11 – A property damage accident was reported on Clarence Center Road, two
cars were involved.
A road obstruction was reported on Buffalo Street, a car battery was
removed from the road.
Patrol checked on the welfare of a Westgate Avenue resident, everything
was okay.
03/13 – A suspicious person was reported on Parkview Drive, everything checked
okay.
Illegal parking was reported on Main Street, two cars were tagged.
Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Skyline Drive.
An unattended brush fire was reported on Hake Road, it was
extinguished.
Disorderly youths were reported in Akron Falls Park, they were advised
and ejected.
An East Avenue resident reported being harassed online, they were
advised.
03/14 – Patrol monitored traffic on Eckerson Avenue, no violations were found.

A property damage accident was reported on Bloomingdale Road, a
parked car was struck.
A fire alarm was activated at a Main Street business, it was accidental.
Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Marshall Avenue.
03/16 – A larceny was reported on Westgate Avenue, cash was taken from an
unlocked vehicle.
Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Marshall Avenue.
Patrol assisted a resident who accidentally became locked in room at their
residence on Main Street.
An Akron man was charged with driving with a suspended registration,
when he was stopped on Indian Falls Road. He was released on appearance
tickets and the vehicle license plates were confiscated.
An Akron man was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, when
metal knuckles were found in his car during a traffic stop on Scotland Road. He
was released on an appearance ticket.
03/17 – An alarm was reported at a Jackson Street business, it was accidental.
A suspicious vehicle was reported on Newton Avenue, everything checked
okay.

AKRON FOR THE WEEK OF 03/10/2019 TO 03/16/2019

03/10/19
First Aid responded to Ice Cream Pl for a female that fell.
Police conducted a welfare check on Madison Ave.
A burglar alarm was activated on Main Rd. It was a false alarm.
Deputies stopped a vehicle on Crtittenden Rd. A routine check of the operator’s license showed it
was suspended 14 times for multiple different reasons. The driver was charged with Aggravated
Unlicensed Operation and held at the Erie County Holding Center.
03/11/19
A Buell St Resident woke up to find a unknown female in their residence. The subject was
intoxicated and entered into the wrong house. They were taken home by police.
03/12/19
A burglar alarm was activated on Cedar St. It was a false alarm.

03/13/19
First Aid responded to Skyline Dr for a female with chest pains.

Police assisted with a harassment complaint on East Ave.
The Fire Department responded Hake Rd for a brush fire.
A Cab Driver reported a customer did not pay the fare on Clinton St. The subject fled the scene prior
to patrols arrival. The matter is under investigation.
Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance on Church St. One of the parties involved had
multiple warrants out of Genesee County. The subject was arrested and turned over to Genesee
County Sheriff’s Office.
A two car motor vehicle accident was reported by On Star on Stage Rd. No injuries were reported.

Police conducted a welfare check on East Ave.
First Aid responded to Marshall Ave for a female dehydrated.
03/15/19
A burglar alarm was activated on Bloomingdale Ave. It was a false alarm.
First Aid responded to Maple Rd for a female feeling dizzy.
A burglar alarm was activated on Main Rd. It was a false alarm.
03/16/19
Police took a larceny report for money taken out of a vehicle on Westgate Ave.
First Aid responded to Marshall Ave for a male having a seizure.
