February 23 was the Benefit for The Crush Sign on Main St. The original sign was a casualty of the fire that happened back in October at Nickel City Frets. The event took place at our C Dee Wright Center, with a 50/50, a basket raffle, food, and of course MUSIC!
Once again, I won nothing. That’s 2 for 2 basket raffles winning nothing 🙁.
Here are some sights and sounds from the event.
Being a musician myself, I had a great time! I loved all the original music that came out of these folks. Sadly, I didn’t get clips of all of them. However here is some video clips of Mark and a few of his students playing for everyone.
The night was a great success! It was heartwarming to see our residents come out support local small business (and MUSIC!). The Crush sign is UP, AND it survived the #WindStorm! How about that!
Looking forward, March 21, Nickel City Sessions will be back Under The Crush, with my bandmate (band-husband), Harvey Brice doing a solo set! That is reason alone to go. I have to add it will be strange being there as “The Newsteader” and not “Harvey’s Bass Player”. -JAP-
