A narrow band of snow and sleet, mixed with or changing over to freezing rain will spread into the area this afternoon. The leading edge of this wintry precipitation will arrive in the Buffalo metro area and Niagara Falls between 1 PM and 2 PM, reaching Warsaw, Batavia and Medina before 3 PM. The wintry mix of precipitation will create very slick and hazardous driving conditions. Roads that are untreated will be particularly hazardous. The precipitation will diminish from the west after 4 PM. Motorists should be prepared for slippery roads and variable driving conditions. Leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you. Allow plenty of extra time to reach your destination.
