The Newsteader is going to be featuring a drink recipe every month. It won’t always be alcoholic. Since the New Year is upon us in a few days, I went in search of the perfect Champagne Cocktail for A New Year. I searched the interwebs high and low and couldn’t find anything interesting. Seriously, how many different ways are there to make a Mimosa? Then, it hit me! I just happen to know one of the best, most creative, artistic mixologists in the area 🤦♀️. So, I went out to Penny Lane in Clarence Hollow and met up with the one of a kind Anne Valby, and (begged) asked her to mix up a special champagne cocktail to be featured here. She was happy to oblige!
The Midnight Special
a glass of your fav champagne, Prosecco, cava, or just sparkling wine in general
a splash of blue curaçao
a splash of sour mix
a bit of edible silver glitter
swirl it around to get the glitter shimmery
